I love our school. The classrooms are small and the kids get the individual attention that they need. There is a sense of community, of belongingness and of faith that permiates the school. After reviewing the school's test scores compared to the public schools, I KNOW this is where I want my kids to be!

St. Alfred is a good school with teachers that care about the students. The projects that my elementary student do are comparable to the city junior high schools.

Beginning in the 2011-2012 school year, the Michigan State Board of Education implemented new definitions of what it means to be proficient on the MEAP test. The new standards for proficiency are higher than in previous years and the percent of students earning a proficient score is expected to be lower as a result of this change.
