Tecumseh Acres Elementary School

The honor roll? Really? In an elementary school? Not that I care to spar with you, but yes, my children made the honor roll every marking period in every school in Tecumseh and have continued to "make the honor roll" in the schools they now attend, which incidentally is an International Baccalaureate program (not that you would understand the importance of that program). Again, my posting were to inform new comers. I loved the middle school and high school programs and even completely enjoyed Herrick Park Elementary. The entire area is safe and clean and partially welcoming. Tecumseh is a beautiful town and full of things to be proud of; in my opinion, this school is not one of them.

Looks like someone was bitter that their children couldn't make the honor roll. I LOVE Tecumseh Acres. The staff is outstanding and the school is safe and welcoming.

This is a great elementary school! The teachers and other staff are amazing. My son who is behind with reading and math has recieved fantastic special education services as well as free elementary summer school assistance. I couldnt be happier with the entire staff at Acres. They really want the best for your child!

I think Tecumseh Acres is a great school. My children loved their teachers and the principle.

Some correct information, only one grade had 28 students in each classroom this past year. All the others had less than 28 per room. I could only come up with 5 out of 30 staff members who ever attended Tecumseh Schools. The current Principal never attended Tecumseh Public Schools. The curriculum that is taught is the same as every school in the state teaches because all public schools must follow guidelines set by the State. I've been in every elementary in the district and this school has the most welcome feeling when you enter. Many others have said the same thing. My suggestion is for anyone new to town, you go into whatever school your child will be attending with an open mind and form your own opinion. The majority of the parents are happy with their school but unfortunately they don't get on postings like this to give positive comments.

The fact that the claim to have small class sizes is comical to me. Most of the classes are packed with 28+ students.

I've been amazed at how out going the staff, parents, and community volunteers have committed themselves to assuring our children a successful education. I find everyone, including students, to be very positive. My son has attended for the past two years and we feel very lucky and fortunate to have this level of education available to us.
