Vestaburg Community Elementary School

I love Vestaburg schools! I myself graduated from here and so will my children. There were a few situations with a couple of few select teachers but other than that. I love everything this school has to offer. They are really directed towards education. The sports well ya they could get a little better, but everyone has a time to shine!

My daughter attended in Vestaburg from K to 5. We moved to Alma. She was so far behind. She didn't know division and we gave her a crash course. Just because you are a small school doesn't mean you skimp on education.

I as a parent am very happy with the elemetary level of the school. My son has Mrs. Wright this year and she is wonderful to talk with about how he is doing and what we can do together to help him improve. Once my son is old enough to be involved in sports, he will be attending Sacred Heart Academy in Mt.Pleasant due to the fact that the sports program at Vestaburg is a joke now that the school board ran out the only coach that knew what was best for the students and their families. Vestaburg would have had a wonderful boys basketball program if it wasn't for that. Academically, I would say the elementary is the only strong source Vestaburg has.

This is a great school. We cannot say enough good about the teachers, the principal, the support staff, and the school counselor. They are all committed to providing a great education and good citizenship. They really do care about the kids! Parent participation is encouraged and appreciated. If there were one area that could be improved, it would be the school's lunch program, specifically better menus and taste of food.
