I'm a sophomore at VHS, and my favorite thing about it is my teachers. They are kind and understanding, and treat us more like they are our best friends. Everyone at Vicksburg is more like a big family, and we are tight knit. They also have good sport facilities and teams..that's the best part. Everyone here is commited to helping every student get a good education and do their best every single day.

Enrollment is down for the last 3 years as parents flee this school district. There are many areas of new construction in the area but student count continues to fall. The administration of this school continues to drive away students. School administration is more of a detention center mentality than a constructive education environment. Think twice before sending your children here.

In my 16 years of teaching in 4 different states, I can say VHS is the most caring environment you could send your child to. The staff from the top down are passionately committed to educating each and every student that enters our doors.

I am currently in 12 grade at Vicksburg. I love everyone of the teachers, you get to know them as a friend, not only as a teacher. The school is constantly helping you to plan and figure out your future goals and prepare you for college; the consolers do a magnificent job at this. There is so many different classes to choose from and many extracurricular activities. The teaching techniques are great and really help you to learn and these techniques are constantly being improved. There is many oppurtunities for more advanced students to excel and to be pushed to be even better. The school was just recently redone with a brand new football and soccer stadium and now the school is making improvement to help the environment and the keep kids healthy. New students are welcomed with open arms. Within the first day you will have a friend or
