2008/2009 will be our third year at Riverside, our first year with two children enrolled. Overall we've been pleased with the school, it feels safe, cheerful and small enough to get involved. Our daughter struggles in reading and she was automatically enrolled in a special program to keep her from falling behing. The special reading teacher was amazing, however, even when our daughter continued to progress slower than they hoped we were not offered any further testing to determine if there are any learning disabilities causing her struggles. Our new principle Mr. Gesaman runs a tight ship and he seems like a nice enough gentleman.
I love Riversides, teachers all seem to be wonderfull and careing, however our new principal is not what I hoped for. Her new policys make parents feel unwelcome. Parents at riverside are proud and want to take part in their childs education in every way.
Riverside is a wonderful school. The staff is caring and quite qualified. In addition the parent involvment is outstanding. For the 2004-2005 school year Riverside has a new principal, we shall see if she is able to fill the capable shoe of our last.
