They have made major progress with my daughter. The staff greet you at the door and welcome you. They direct you to a class or walk you if needed. I'm elated with all of the progress that my child has made. An all A student now.

ADT is my Savor! If it wasn't for the wonderful staff and there passion for helping kids i wouldn't know what to do. The staff is so dedicated and when you need help it is one on one. In a regular high school teachers don't have time to help you, but here they will MAKE THE TIME. Wonderful school i will miss so dearly.

Part One The Kaselemis Center, formerly Rosedale Adolescent Day Treatment (A.D.T.) is an exceptional school designed for the emotionally impaired (E.I.) student. The program is operated by Redford Union School District, however, it is housed in Westland, MI, a neighboring suburb. A variety of other local school districts feed students into the program. Specific behavioral and emotional criteria must be met to attend. The school has around 110 students, most full time. The ratio of staff to student (including paraprofessionals) is about 1:5, meaning there is one teacher and one para-pro for every ten student classroom. Classes are predominantly self contained. The school has modern computers, an adequate library, a traditional gymnasium, and is fully handicap accessible.

First if you are not familiar with kaselemis, it services many districts in the general area; and is administered by the Redford Schools. It is for students having difficulty in the tradition school setting. Class size is small and individual student plans are developed. My son has struggled in school from the start in spite of his high intelligence due to ADHD and ODD. He failed the first 2 years of high school. The program did wonders for him. It is highly structured and motivational with emphasis on learning and real world skills. This school did wonders for my son. He is finishing high school at a different district but has taken the skills learned here with him. He is passing with flying colors!

if it wern't for ADT I wouldn't have graduated from highschool. As far as other peoples opinions such as about the school work and whatnot, if you request harder work they will give it. I took algebra and algebra 2 and that's not 6th grade work. The program is structured because if it wern't it'd be like any other highschool. If you follow the rules than you'll have no problems adjusting, that's the way life works.

I think that Rosedale is a horrbile school for any high school student to attend. It is absolutly rediculious what my daughter comes home and tells me. There are no fun programs for the students once so ever. My daughter has gotten in more trouble than before she started there and she was sent there for cutting. They do 6th grade work level and beleive it or not that is all they are offerd. The staff doesnt even allow the kids to walk down the hallways of the elimentry sized school by themselves even if its just to the office. The kids go there because they have problems but the staff and rules only make them worse... that is my opinion of ADT, Rosedale.

I think that Rosedale ADT is a great school for those who need a more structured environment. My son gets the help he needs from the teachers and others faster than he was in regular high school. The staff is helpful in keeping him focused on one assignment at a time. I think that if it wasn't for Rosedale that my son wouldn't be graduating this year.
