As a former student of LHW, I can say with confidence that Lutheran Westland provides a superb core education for their students. The religious rhetoric is thick, though, and little exposure is provided to the world outside those school walls. Extracurriculurs are limited, in both funding and diversity, which is the school's biggest weakness. Overall, though, LHW prepared me well academically for college, and I am grateful for my experiences there.

We have two children at the school right now, and we really love it. Our biggest concern is for our son who will be there in 2 years...if you are not involved in sports there aren't many other activities for the kids to pick from. They do have a great music program, but again our child isn't musical either. Overall, LHWL is a great school preparing our kids for college and the Christian atmosphere is a true blessing.

This is our second year at LHWL. My son is a sophmore this year. We absolutley love the school. The academics are excellent, providing top notch training for college entrance. The sports program has a lot to offer. The coaches are dedicated to each and every student. My son is on the wrestling team, and I can honestly say I have never seen a more dedicated coaching staff. It is also such a blessing to be able to pray before and after practices and meets. The teaching staff is wonderful and qualified. Each student is challenged to perform their best. The principal is available and highly involved. I think the entire staff is highly involved and cares about the students. The community of parents and families are friendly and active.

with a dedicated and caring faculty, almost all of which hold at least a masters degree, this school is top-notch in providing the essential foundation for college-bound students wishing to excell at tier-one universities. small class sizes and personal attention a major plus.
