Lincoln Model Elementary School

We have had a fantastic experience at Model. My son has some minor learning differences and they were great with taking a team approach to helping him have a great kindergarten year.

My son had Mrs. Porter for kindergarten and I couldn't have been happier. She was a wonderful teacher who helped her students be excited to learn. She welcomed parent participation in class and I always felt welcome coming in to help with an activity and get involved. I can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to go to kindergarten to have Mrs. Porter. She is an exceptional teacher.

Our son went to Model Elementary last year and we totally loved the experience!! So did he, which is really what is most important. Mrs Nelson truly spoiled us as first time parents. We are older than most other parents, and she was awesome!! I can't say enough good things about her. Mrs Rousch is also an incredible principle. I was disappointed when I heard she retired, but glad that we had the experience of working with her. I can't say much about the other teachers there, but can tell you Mrs Nelson is awesome!!! I felt that Model elementary was not exactly what I expected for a first time mother with a child in Kindergarten. I felt that there was too much time spent freely without structure. I also was not overly thrilled with the level of feed back from the teacher. I rarely heard updates of academic or behavioral progress. I would like it to be better in those two areas. Jennifer D.

Model is a super school for Preschool and Kindergarten. The staff are professional and kind. My son's Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Porter is great. She handles situations in the classroom with the students immediately. She challeges the kids and my son comes home excited about what he learned. The principal Mrs. Rusch is freindly and is often roaming the halls and classroom. Child's is the school you want your child attending.

Lincoln schools are a wonderful learning facilty. I have 3 kids there this year 1 is a return from last year and they did a wonderful job with my son's speech problem. I would advise all parents looking for a school Lincoln is the one.
