Our daughter was having trouble adjusting to regular high school life due to all of the distractions there. We chose Roberto Clemente because we had heard great things about it and we want our daughter to succeed! The staff is awesome there and I would recommend sending your child there for a great education and a great family atmosphere!
Our family decided to send our daughter to Roberto Clemente rather than the comprehensive high school. Roberto Clemente offered a more structured environment resulting in more accountabilIty from the students. The location of Roberto was chosen so that it would not encourage students to walk off campus, skip class and hopping a bus to "who knows where". It also a school of approximately 80 students with a ratio of 8:1. I would say that this program is for the student who needs a little more discipline. The program involves consistent parent involvement. If there are any issues that need addressing concerning your child, the parents are called immediately. My daughter has been on the honor roll and recently finished with a 4.0. She has been accepted to attend WTMC at the Washtenaw Community College to finish her last 2 years of high school while earning college credit by the time she graduates high school. Dr. Ben Edmondson runs a tight ship! The program works for students who need a little more structure and discipline. Roberto Clemente offers this. If you are looking for a smaller environment with less distractions, I encourage you to visit Roberto Clemente. I am so thankful
This school is the best; starting from the principal to the office staff. My daughter came in with a very nasty attitude, and they dealt with her with so much love until she wanted to do better without anybody having to force her. I wish that my older children had of attended here maybe they would have went on to college. But we were in Detroit at the time, so what can I say.
If Joe Dulin is running this school your children no matter how troubled or unable to learn will learn to be responsible, caring and earn life skills that carry them above the crowd for the rest of their life.
It,s a school that save students and allowes them to create skills for life. School has grown from a old run down building to a real school. Molding young trouble children to young adults.
