Our son, 5th grade at the time, was propositioned twice by the same girl: one of his classmates. The second time she made it very clear what she was proposing and because we had prepared him he knew to get the teacher involved then. Protect & inform.

No, I didn't even think about it but my eldest just got a cell phone. This topic will be added to the "agenda" for our next talk. We talk openly about "sex-ed" but it is done in such a casual manner so she see's it as just another mom/daughter talk.

No! My girls are a little too young for this, but I will when I think they are age appropriate

I have my childs passwords to his fb account and I'm able to read all his texts so I think that is the last thing on his mind, he really never uses his phone or the computer because he's always been into sports and nothing else has been on his mind.

No sexting was not a part of the "sex talk". It did not cross my mind because my children do not have cell phones or get on the computer without parental guides. I will discuss it soon. Thanks for the "reminder" though.

Too many "cool" parents letting their middle school children have too much time on cell phones & computers. My 6th grader lost his cell & computer out of order. Now he plays outside and uses his imagination.

Oh yes we've had that talk - I've explained that anything texted or IM'd online is saved somewhere and she should handle herself in texting and online as she would handle herself in person

Yes. But I didn't get to it before the school did.
