My son was very bored and prone to day dreaming and I pulled him two years ago. He has advanced and we have used various computer/hands on curriculum but he misses the challenge of being with other students. He was in GT and several UIL programs. Thanks for any input.

Hi sharpiemom and welcome to the GreatSchools Parent Community. My suggestion would be to call the school directly and explain as you have here. As homeschooling has gained prominence it's no longer considered 'out there.' That being said, homeschooling reasons and rigor vary wildly among families implementing it. So be prepared to show some of his school work and possibly take additional aptitude tests.

Good luck, and let us know what happens.
