This school is not safe. There are gang activities and discipline issues at this school. Disruptive children are allowed to continue to cause problems. They are rewarded for bad behavior by shooting baskets. They are allowed to hit teachers and fellow students. We are removing our child from this district. If you care about your child's safety you should not send your child here. They are not far away from needing police and metal detectors. There are about 3 fights a day between the different gangs and they bully the serious students. The administration does nothing to deal with the behavior issues, even after repetitive complaints. Teachers are caring and good, but they are not supported by their administration and have to resort to sending disruptive students our of their classrooms daily, only to have to deal with it again the next day. Very sad, as we moved to Burnsville 10 years ago because of the good schools and STEM programs.

There are many caring teachers but there are some who barely keep up on entering grades and don't return emails. Overall my sons are doing well and have good friendships. The Chess team with Mr. Ribnick is amazing!!

Amount of homework: Disagree

I have already stated why in my previous review. Certain teachers are not supportive and racist.

If you care about your child's education and well being, you will not send them to this school. It is NOT SAFE. There is gang activity, drug use and sales, fights and bullying, physical and verbal threatening, theft, and property destruction. Students and even teachers don't feel safe at the school. The associate principal allows a certain group of students to get away with bad behaviors with no consequences. He is a horrible administrator who is rude and unprofessional, and has no control whatsoever over the student body. These students are pretty much running the school and creating a horrible learning environment for the ones who are actually serious about their education. The teachers there are great at what they do, and genuinely care, but they get no support from administration. They spend all their time trying to discipline students, and the "good" students are largely ignored. There are so many out of control things that happen at the school - do whatever you can to send your children elsewhere.
