The principal, teachers, paraprofessionals, and any staff employed. The teachers are awesome, enthusiastic and very dedicated to teaching.
The teachers are very devoted and are truly vested in helping each child succeed.
Teachers at Byron Elementary are the best, they are the most caring teachers anywhere.
Byron elementary is all about the kids! I have lived in several different communities and have never seen the commitment to child that Byron shows!
Byron Elementary is a really great school. My kids have all attended and learned the things they need to continue their growth and education.
My child attended Kindergarten last year at BES. She loves the teachers and facility, as do I. We dealt with some attention issues and they have great resources to help with that. We look forward to 1st grade this year!
My child has gone to BES for 2 years. This being my first child that has attended school, I can say that they were very helpful. I have been going through a divorce since the end of last year. The staff has been great about helping my son deal with it and have made extra efforts to ensure we both have info. He is also in speech and gets extra help in reading. The teachers have been awesome and he is on track for his grade level! He has also been learning Spanish. The music program is good, the teacher is lively and fun.The only thing I can complain about is that for being a small school, they do not have a Christmas or Holiday program. Only a Spring music program. The principal seems highly involved with the kids.I would highly recommend BES!
I can not say enough praise about Byron Elementary. I have open enrolled my child into the district. My child not only knows how to read (1st grader) but loves it! I have received weekly newletters, monthly calendars of what is happening and even daily updates on the website. The teachers are more than open to parent volunteers. The support staff are always upbeat and the principal is incredible. He has set a very positive tone throughout the whole building. He is constantly visible to everyone - in the lunchroom, on the playground and in the hallways. The school is clean and safe. I highly recommend Byron Schools. I know my child is receiving a great education!
Byron elementary is a fantastic school. Not sure what the other reviewer was referring to regarding not being involved though because we are totally and completely involved in our children's education at this school and are given weekly and monthly newsletters/calendars regarding exactly what is happening that week/month. In addition, there is a daily journal that is kept in their backpacks which you have to sign daily to make sure you saw all notes from the teacher as well as homework, etc. We love this school and feel totally involved in our children's education. Great school!
The Byron elementary school has more problems then you can see from the outside. I know of a family who's child has had his pants fulled down in class and NOTHING was done about it. The teachers are not open to new ideas and they do not offer much information regarding your child's education. The principle has discussions regarding bulling, but it still happens a lot and he turns his back to it. When brought to his attention, he sees it's all your childs fault. Not a recommended school.
