Most teachers in Caledonia are excellent, and the administration retains an interest in the students such as you'd expect in a small town. Mostly though, I want to comment on the one negative review about the Caledonia schools that exists at this site. While it is quite apparent that the reviewer has an axe to grind--perhaps the problem has some basis in fact; perhaps it does not--I am compelled to respond to the assertion that there isn't a broad enough array of activities available to the students. Specifically, there is a lament that there is no golf. Caledonia has had the most successful girls' Class A golf team in Minnesota over the past twenty years, and routinely fields an exceptional boys' team as well. This fact alone seriously undermines this strange and vituperrious review!

Caledonia HS/MS is a great place for students to learn. The teachers are top notch and have been helpful to us in every way possible. I always have engaging conversations at conferences and the teachers and administrative staff communicate via phone, letters and email. Our sports teams are always competitive at all levels including several state championships in girl s golf. Caledonia has a great new computer lab (CLS) that I can't keep my sixth grader out of. It is one of only three in the entire state and we are very fortunate to have it here in our district. Parent and community involvement is also a plus for this district. Add to this a newly remodeled Elementary school and a brand new HS/MS and you have all the makings of a great school district.

This school has horrible Special Education Teachers and classes. This school lacks profesionalism. Teachers lack knowledge in disibilities and have horrible comunication skills. Not enough after school programs. This school also does not have enough physical activities for children to join. I would like tto see Tennis or golf not just the manly things that glorify the Schools image. I really do not like this school! This school also has serious problems with verbal abuse among students. I wish there was an alternative school!
