This school requests a tremendous amount of help from parents. However, most parents do not step up, and leave the lion's share of the volunteer work for the few parents who do want to help out. I feel that more parents need to be active in their child's education because as a parent it is not my job to be there for all the other children. My concern is to be a participant for my child first and foremost. I do not think there are any extra activities other than the daily schooling. There is an 'all day' program, done by lottery and it is costly. It isn't all day either. There is a great deal of time spent working on art type projects, which usually do not get completed during the school day. The staff relies heavily on the parents to teach the fundementals necessary to enter first grade.
