Even though the school has a small class size, the homework given is way too much. also the students are not given enough privliges on the computers such as for homework
We have had all three of our children attend and graduate from RCA. My wife and I have supported the school all through the years because the school has met the needs of our family for a Christian education. The teachers have been outstanding; the extra curricular has been great for such a small school; the openness of the administration including the School Board, Principal and others has always been appreciated. We recommend RCA, not because it is a perfect school, but the fact that there is a humble desire to provide a Christ-centered, quality education at a very affordable tuition. Our kids are grateful they were given the opportunity to attend RCA...they have great, life-long friends from Rivers. We highly recommend RCA to every family.
I have two children who attended Rivers Christian Academy. The class sizes are small and teachers are very helpful. The Math and Science departments are extremely strong. Chapel gatherings are meaningful. The sports programs are getting stronger and stronger. The students have a greater opportunity to participate. I am grateful to have found such a school. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants their child to experience strong academics, strong arts and athletics and a spiritual atmosphere.
We strongly encourage anyone who is considering this school to talk to parents who currently have their children enrolled there. You will get a much more accurate picture of the current financial condition and/or problems the school is experiencing from parents rather than administration. Persons at the administrative level of the school are making a considerable amount of poor decisions regarding discipline, teacher hiring, finances, and education in general. Our children have attended the school for a number of years. In the most recent years, the quality of the school has plummeted-in all areas. We are deeply disappointed, as are many parents. The currrent administration is absolutely unwilling to address many long-standing issues brought forth by parents and staff members. They will not be forthcoming with any information to new, prospective parents regarding these issues. Please exercise EXTREME caution when considering this school as a possible choice for your child/ren.
This school has changed it's name to Rivers Christian Academy. The class sizes are small, 15-25, and there is 1 teacher/para for every 9 students! The faculty begin their day with prayer. The science department is incredible. High school students take 4 years of all core subjects, and they are prepared for college. I have had one daughter graduate with a full scholarship, and twins who will graduate this year. They have been provided with academic excellence, within a biblically'based, Christ-centered atmosphere. They have matured spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially. Incredible school, excellent teachers, caring faculty.
I am so blessed to work at Rivers Christian Academy. As faculty, we begin our day with prayer. The curriculum and faculty provide academic excellence. I am working in a Christ centered atmosphere, and the fruit is children who are well disciplined and are loving learning. I am blessed to work with faculty of excellence. The students are learning from the best.
This school is now called 'Rivers Christian Academy'. Our two children have attended school there for six years, and we're very happy with the education they're receiving. The academics are strong and Christian based. The teachers are excellent, the learning environment is very positive, and the sports program is strong. We'd recommend this school to anyone looking for a solid Christian school.
