All four of my children went to school there. There are some real good teachers and wonderful programs offered to the children.

I loved this school at first. I agreed totally about the dedicated teachers. But I saw those same teachers treat a new teacher with downright meanness -- so mean, in fact, that that teacher left the profession. I think that our little far-removed community has come to accept some very narrow educational morals -- and I use that term loosely. I would be relieved to see our community join the county. Perhaps we could get rid of the ridiculous break known as release time. Sorry, but the longer my kids are here, the more worried I have become. The 6th grade teachers are the worst in the system. I would love to see my kids have teachers that are excited, not bored.

Washington Elementary is a small school with a big heart who respects all students as unique individuals. Their students receive the best education through a large variety of hard found opportunities and resources. The brain of the school, its teachers, I find to be an extremely hard working dedicated group of educators imparting knowledge and skills, while simultaneously, buoying up their students with a steady stream of support. I personally believe the results of dependable support in students creates a much higher absorption rate of confidence thus knowledge. Three cheers to this school and all its hard working staff and volunteers. Because of this fine small school, with a big heart, we enjoy a happier community.
