As High Schools go, this one is rght up there. The faculty are very good and genuinely interested in their students. Facilities are very good, including a new auditorium, with new art, band, choir rooms. In most small towns, sports is the biggest thing. At DE, spotrs certainly get a following, but so do the arts, academic excellence, and family involvement. A great atmosphere.
The faculty at Dover-Eyota genuinely care about the students and do all that they can to help them succeed. The school is a laid back place where most kids do well and learn how to get along with eachother. The number of students per classroom is small, which allows the teachers to give each individual student time outside class if extra help is needed.
I am a Junior at Dover-Eyota and have been attending since my first day of Kindergarden. I love Dover-Eyota. The entire staff creates a completely supportive atmosphere. Everyone knows who you are, and calls you by name, even Gary, the custodian. We have a brand-new huge gym, all new locker rooms, state-of-the-art fitness center, band and choir rooms, commons, auditorium, offices, and muti-puropose room. There are so many opportunities for classes, and if our school doesnt have it you can go to the local college RCTC (paid for by DEHS). There are tons of extracurricular activities, and more being created every year. There is a niche in our school for everyone, and I love DEHS!
This school has a lot of favoritism and the teachers and faculity only care about those students who are popular or in sports.
