As a father of a ninth grader, I have continually been amazed and blessed to watch God work in the life of my son at Hillcrest. During the past few years, my wife and I have seen a noticeable difference in his demeanor toward adults and peers. The teachers are patient, caring, and understand the needs of the diverse student population. The course work is rigorous and the spiritual program is outstanding. Our son is clearly becoming more mature in his faith as he progresses through the Bible curriculum and spends time with Christian friends and Christian adults. While at Hillcrest our son has developed strong academic skills which have enabled him to attain high grades in an exceptionally rigorous curriculum. We are grateful that God lead us to Hillcrest and look forward to the upcoming years.

I graduated from Hillcrest Academy in 2002. Since graduation God has led me to work in a church full time, complete requirements for my Associates in Arts degree, and currently I am working towards my degree in intercultural ministries. The training I received from Hillcrest Academy is something that I find myself using everyday in my walk with Jesus Christ. The teachers, staff, and administration continue to show interest in my endeavors and support me through prayer daily as I continue to serve Christ daily. This school was used by God to prepare me to live a life honoring to God. I would highly recommend it for anyone who is anxious to get serious about their faith.

I have two children who have or will shortly graduate from this school but have just moved my other child to the public school. The quality of education is not what it use to be. I have especially noticed a decrease in the staff morale and teachers leaving more frequently then in the past.... which directly influences the quality of education. There is not a lot of parental involvement in this school. It does not seem to be encouraged. That along with poor communication between administration and parents was a big red flag for our family. One should not have to call administration a number of times before you receive an answer.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
