I have to disagree with the other parent review. My kids do not participate in Religious release time, nor does 70% of the students in our school. The remainder of the churches teach sunday school on Wednesdays and on Sunday mornings. We are a public school! Our school is awesome, but we definitely have parents who are very negative whenever adminstration tries to make changes. Too bad they don't use their time to volunteer in the schools instead. Fulda has great teachers, great support staff and a school board who listens. It has small class sizes and very high percentage of students participate in extra curricular activities. It offers all day every day Kindergarten (and yes, there were petitions to stop this as well). As you can probably tell, adminstration gets run down often at our school, I believe they are doing what they feel is best for the majority.

The Administration at Fulda Elementary have stated that to increase test scores it is necessary to eliminate the religious education program that has been successfully operating for many, many years. Although parents and community members have stated that they do not want this to occur the Principal, soon to be Superintendent continues to move in this direction. I think the whole situation is indicative of the lack of response to constituent and parent concerns. The community has even started a petition to persuade the people who can make this decision that it is undesirable. I am very unhappy with the manner in which parents are treated in the school district. The Principal does not have good rapport with the students either. As he walks through the school, he does not greet the students by name nor do they acknowledge him. This is not a big school.
