Hayfield has a great school system with teachers that care. For a smaller community this school provides alot of options for the students K-12. We moved here thinking it would be a great place to raise our 2 kids & we were right.
When I attended this school, the academics were less than superior. Athletics were more revered than academics in this school. This school, in no way, prepared me for college or 'the real world'.
we moved into the area started with k and 1st grade. I was not excited about moving to such a small town, I was afraid of the clicks and 'not the right last name'. It was nothing like what I feared, they have amazing parent involvement, they get the higher grades involved with the little ones. across the bored everyone is a peer not and 'underclassman'. The elementary students have open access to there library anytime, the school just openly gives these little people great respect and and creates a huge comfort zone. Summer rec programs are great. they have basketball 1st grade up threw the winter boys and girls.
