The only good thing about this school is the schedule. Loved that. Otherwise this school would have earned only 1 star. Everything else is a big disappointment. I cannot recommend this school to anyone and I will be happy to share my story with anyone considering this school. Don't do it. You will be very disappointed. The principal is completely indifferent to the needs of the kids, the teachers are one extreme or the other (either super wonderful or REALLY horrible and cruel). Its just an ineffective learning environment all around.

I feel watching kid movies in a sense toward reward time is fine but not educational. The schedule is nice. Breaking into skill grps. are nice. I feel the teachers need more assistants in the classroom so they can spend more time with those that are falling behind or need a little more 1:1. If everyone could put aside some time to work in their child classroom or school it would make a whole world of diffference in the school and the children. I feel they treat everyone the same which they should be treated different with the skills that every child has because not every child is the same and they should beable to work at their own pace.

If your school is very average, they will do fine here. If you don't mind your kids wasting their time watching "fun" movies (not educational ones) weekly then you will probably like this school just fine. But if you have a special needs child or a gifted child, one who doesn't exactly fit the mold, be careful. The administration and the system is not very well equipped to deal with exceptional or especially twice exceptional cihldren. There is a bullying problem that teachers and administration refuse to address in a helpful and mature manner so keep that in mind before choosing this school. The year round school schedule is nice. The fact that they break out into skill groups instead of dragging everyone along at the speed of the most average students is nice. Not nice enough to get us to stay at this school though.
