This is a great school. The principal sets the tone and encourages the teachers and staff to set high standards in the classroom. The environment at Afton-Lakeland is caring and nurturing. Bullying and bad behavior is not tolerated.

This school is amazing! The teachers are fantastic and the principal is out of this world! We are very pleased that we seclected Afton Lakeland for our children after reviewing many other public and private schools. The test scores speak for themselves. There are many parent volunteers at this school helping create a sense of community.

In addition to offering many type of learning opportunities, both in and out of classes, there is the 'inter-action' of some teachersprincipal that call parents when a student is failing a grade or is in need of help of some kind.

My student states that going outside for recess enjoying, educational field trips and not wanting to miss a day away from teachers and friends at school are at top of the list for her at Afton-Lakeland Elementary. As a parent the rich learning environment and caring adults, whether teachers, staff or parent volunteers makes this a gem of a place for kids to learn and thrive in the St. Croix Valley.
