Another parent has already said most of what I would say. The Principal is very lax in discipline. My child was tripped going down the stairs by a fellow student, a staff member witnessed, but nothing was ever done. By the time my child told me what happened I called the school, when the Principal found out who the other student was, he simply replied, well that child no longer goes here as if that settled the whole thing. Three years my child went to this school and they were the worse years of her life. I had to pull her out because the bullying was so out of control and the staff seemed to do nothing about it.
so far, the school is good. But the teachers can be lax. And I have heard first hand stories from parents who's kids have been followed home from school by bully's. that was within the last couple years. Also a friend of mine, worked there, and he's one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet, and he quit. It is a good school, as far as education, my daughter is learning, and she seems to not have any trouble in class. God knows, when she does, ill be in school with her until the problem is remedied.
Park Elementary is an awesome school. The teachers are so kind, and I feel great about sending my children there.
This school is very lax on discipline. There are lots of bullying issues that are swept under the rug. Some of the teachers are great while others couldn't care less about the kids. Very hard to get child approved for spec ed, even with autism diagnosis. Lots of passing the blame from teachers to administration and vice versa. Principal is shared between 2 schools so he is only around part time. Office staff is most knowledgeable about goings on in the school. They jnow every teachers schedule and everyones kids very well.
