Excellent teachers, -dedicated to students, many creative activities, music, art, and foreign language, are offered , great outdoor programming, amazing parent involvement, good communication with parents, teachers and upcoming activities-plus a wonderful teacher/student ratio.
Love Marine - the teachers, 6th grade play, K-6th grade buddies, and all the extra special events. Wouldn't trade it for the world!
My husband and I made the decision 9 years ago to have our children atend Marine Elementary instead of the assigned school in the district. Even though this decision has not been the most convenient decision for us as far as proximity, it has been the best decision we could have made for our children, They would not be getting the one on one attention at a larger school. The teachers have made it their mission to make sure that each child is learning and performing to the best of the abilities. I have recommended Marine to many other families that have made the swittch to Marine. We could have chosen to send our children to their assigned school and made life much easier for my husband and I, but our children would not be doing as well as well as they have been doing. The sixth grade play has been the best thing that could happen to all of the children who comlete their elemenary years at Marine. It shows the community all of the confidence and leadership qualities that Marine has taught them throughout the years.
My daughter has gone to Marine since Kindergarten, and has blossomed into a wonderful, smart and caring young lady. She is a 6th grader this year. My Son also goes to Marine, and he is now in 3rd Grade, with excellent test scores and a shining personality.
We have had all of our children (those old enough so far) attend Marine Elementary. We can't say enough good things about it, from it's strong academics, to small class sizes and neighborhood feel. Everyone should be so lucky to have such a dedicated staff and strong parent volunteer group. Marine truly prepares these kids for the future.
Marine is an excellent school w/caring and dedicated staff. We recently moved, but decided on a new place solely based on my daughter being able to stay in Marine Elementary. It's a very tight-knit, close, small town feeling school, but the standards of excellence are not compromised in any way by this. They stress achievement while allowing time for play, and classmates are extremely close to each other. Highly recommend this school.
Our three kids have had an amazing experience at Marine Elementary. The school is small enough that every child and teacher knows each other. The principal is an enthusiastic leader and the teachers challenge and encourage the students. We can't imagine a better school!
