Unfortunately, Greatschools is a nationwide website and the chance of finding another family from a particular town, with a child who has similar special needs and has used the same type of tutoring is slim. You could try reposting your question in the Learning and Attention Difficulties Group at http://community.greatschools.net/groups/11554

Please let me know if you find a Lindamood Bell tutor in the Mpls area! Looking for one to refer the families I work with who need auditory discrimination instruction - LIPS.

Thanks

I thought there was an actual Lindamood Bell center in the Minneapolis area....is it just that you'd rather not deal with them and their recommended intensity?

I am interested in finding a private tutor who is willing to tutor kids with the LIPS program. I know the Lindamood Bell Center is very good but they do require a very intense schedule and often more than one therapy. I am a dyslexia specialist and I screen kids for auditory processing. I recommend that kids who have a weakness in this area work with the LIPS program. I have a hard time sending a family to the Lindamood Bell center because it is expensive.

Hoping to find someone trained in the area who is willing to tutor for a more affordable fee.
