If you grew up here you are ok. The school and coachs do not give any new people to the area a chance . Any tryout for a sport does not exist. If your parent played for the school you are on the team without trying. Parents are very clicky.

The entire school in general possesses a degrading atmosphere, students as well as teachers lower self-esteem of many students. Barely any students have enthusiam for school or grades in general, and definitely lack respect for teachers and classmates. There are NO A.P. classes, for that matter no classes that present even a relative challenge. There are basically no academically related extra-curricular activites, but of course we have BASEBALL. This school prides itself on sports and puts much of its funding into sports. So, while mature students read from outdated/ragged textbooks, and sit in desks that fall apart, the baseball teams rejoice in their brand-new costly uniforms.

Central acedemic programs do not properly prepar a student to function in society. My son is coming out of this school with a low esteem and doesn't feel he can suceed at anyhting other food prep or other menial tasks. The comunication with parents (especially non custodial parents) is poor. Changes are made in extra curricular activities at the last minute. As a result parents such as myself doen't find out or have conflicts and can not attend. The music program is outdated and poor to say the least. Todays students need to relate to the music and need it to be upbeat. In a whole it was outdated when I was a student 30 years ago. I don't receive contact unless I do the contacting. This by the way is against the law. I don't even know when my son's graduation is supposed to be.
