My son who is disabled and in the special education system, this was his Elementary school. They were WONDERFUL. They really treated my son just as any student, worked very hard at including him in "regular" school actvities. Also they had the resources to teach him. Normally you hear of budget cuts etc, but not this district. This district in general takes education very seriously.

Great school! Our daughter is finishing Kindergarten and has had a wonderful year. The teachers are wonderful and the parents are very involved. The PTA is out of this world. So glad we chose Oakwood.

Oakwood Elementary is a wonderful school located within the Wayzata Public School system. The classes are small, the teachers caring, and the office staff is professional and friendly.
