Holy Spirit is great! My daughter, a first grader, comes home singing songs in French and talking Spanish. She has both language classes twice a week for a half hour each. As a former teacher, the math program seems up to date also. In first grade, they are doing pre-multiplication work, pre geometry as well as the ususal. The reading program is outstanding. The teacher, Mrs. Kuisle teaches from a multitude of approaches and texts and parents come in on Fridays to give each student a one on one reading time. Holy Spirit has the highest reading scores in the city! My daugher is almost at the 4th grade level based on testing. From listening to the kids read, I would guess that there are a number of other children right up there with yer.

Holy Spirit has both Spanish and French in K-4. Language in the upper grades will be added. Holy Spirit is a wonderful school. It is like a second family. It is a safe school with high educational standards (at least one year ahead). It has a strong Home & School Association and parent involvement. Communication has greatly improved with the teachers and principal.

This school is great, and all the staff are friendly. But I would like to mention that the curriculum is about a year behind in mathematics. They also have no foreign language program, except for a 'club'. Otherwise, this school is fine.
