I currently have 3 children at North Heights Christian Academy. My oldest has been there since Kindergarten, so it has been my home away from home for many years! I have SEEN, HEARD, and FELT the fruit from our children's lives as to why this has been a great decision. I have seen my son develop a stronger, personal connection to God through the consistency he receives from his teachers AND the principal. The teachers have been very helpful if he needs further guidance in math or other subjects. . I have appreciated how much these teachers really KNOW each child as an individual, and want to help them succeed. Jeff Taylor, the principal, is a Godly man, and over the years I have consistency seen how deeply he cares about the kids in his school. He takes his role as leader of the school seriously and the kids have incredible respect for him. I feel as though my son will leave NHCA with a solid faith to prepare him for public high school, and he will leave learning hard work and discipline to prepare him for greater academic challenges yet to come. I highly encourage you to come check out NHCA for yourself!

My daughter has attended NHCA for three years now. I could not be more confident in our family's decision to invest in Christian education. The teachers, principal, and aides care about each student they interact with. Academics are very strong with a Christian focus.

If you are looking for a school that encourages children to enter into the Lord's presence, North Heights provides an environment and staff who are sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading. I am thankful that my children have been exposed to prayer and worship as a way of living, not just in my home, but in school and play. They also get to experience weekly art and computer lessons, be a part of an art fair and a musical. They get to perform experiments in the science lab and outdoor garden/classroom. I first enrolled because of the spiritual aspect, but found the academics are also in place at NHCA.

My husband and I could not be happier with the decision to make the financial sacrifice to send our children to NHCA. The loving and caring staff made for a safe environment for our kids to receive a quality education. Their teachers Christian lives were great examples for them to emulate. They made life-long friends who are now young adults making Godly decisions for their lives. Every parent wants the best for their children. For our family, the very best was North Heights Christian Academy.

I wish I had picked another school. My son is in his 8th grade year, has lots of friends and wants to graduate. The past year we have had TERRIBLE experience with the school, mostly with academics. My son struggles a lot in Literature/Vocabulary class, he does try his best yet still fails. It is the end of the 3rd quarter (out of 4) and my son was so excited because he added up the points possible and the points he had which would have added up to a C+. So we look at his final quarter grades, and he has a D. So we did the math again, and still he should have gotten a C+. He emailed his teacher and asked what was going on and just now she told him "The grades in that subject are weighted differently." Wouldn't that have been nice to know! Also one of the teachers (Math, Vocabulary, and Literature teacher) has been giving 2 students some special attention. If an assignment is late its 50% off the assignment which results in an F. These kids have no mental disability at all, but just so they are eligible to play sports she doesn't count their work late. I think that is unfair. I regret private school. I don't spend $4,600 a year to watch my son fail.

The junior high has these things called "P.I.L.L.O.S" They are discipline forms where the student has to copy an essay about behavior issues and the parent has to sign it. My kid came home with one that he got from computer class, for raising his hand at a silly time. Can I ask when a "non-silly" time to raise my hand is? This is just ridiculous. I have had so many problems with this school, and now another one? $5000 for silly hand raising. So logical.

Curriculum is good and most of the teachers are nice. But there is too many rules and lots of teachers bend the rules of the handbook to just get their way. They also but in to your outside of school stuff which is none of their business. The principal will also manipulate you in to feeling like you're a bad person. I've made great friends at this school, but if I had no friends I would leave. Its not worth the $5,000 dollars a year.

North Heights is an amazing school. The teachers are committed and have a heart for children. The principal, Jeff Taylor, has a strong, positive impact on the students. After 2 years at NCHA my son has flourished, his self esteem has increased and his character is actively molded and shaped in a positive way. Thank God for North Heights!

I am putting my granddaughter through school at NHCA. There are not enough words to express how wonderful this school is and the quality of education where Christ is the focus. From Principal, teachers, all staff.

Cannot listen to non-christian music, even instrumental. Cannot color your hair (temporarily) for Halloween. Cannot read Goosebumps books, because they're full of 'dark things' but we won't tell you what. Cannot, cannot, cannot. A year long scar on my education.

I taught at NHCA for two years. The families are incredible. They are involved with their kids' education and are very supportive. The teachers are dedicated. They integrate Biblical teaching into all aspects of life and education. I have never seen a private school that has Biblical excellence AND academic excellence. The leadership at NHCA is amazing. Jeff Taylor, the principal is a wonderful example of servant leadership. He supports his teachers and, in doing this, gives them more confidence in their classroom. I quit teaching to pursue my own business. If I were to teach again, I would definitely go back to NHCA.

I attended North Heights for three years. I made lots of friends, the teachers are wonderful and I learned a lot. My favorite part of the school is chapel. There are skits and singing. I would love to go back to the school! (Oh, PS...the food is 5 stars!)

My children (now grades 6 and 8)have received an excellent education at North Heights. Not only are the teachers dedicated to preparing them academically for high school and beyond, but they are instilling in them the life skills of building relationships and treating God, others and themselves with respect and honor. I appreciate that a music, PE, and an art specialist are on staff and teach regularly. My children have participated in the sports program, had dramatic, singing and/or dancing roles in the all-student musical each year, and had art works displayed in the school art festival. They have participated in service projects. There are a lot of opportunities for them to practice and learn a variety of skills! All of this at a small school with a caring staff who are committed to high academic standards as well as the spiritual and emotional growth of each student.

We've had our children at NHCA for 6 years, with our oldest about to graduate from 8th grade. Excellent academics, wonderful cohesive atmosphere, and sound character development, with solid spiritual and biblical teaching. Of particular note would be the leadership of the school. We are confident that this school has set up our children for success wherever they go in the future. Additionally, we've been pleased with the extracurricular activities, including band and a good choice of sports.

I attended N.H.C.A. for eight years and my experiences there were great. The teachers were great, the learning enviorment was great, and the spiritual aspect of the school was great. The school prepared me well for my high school years, and for all the years of my life!
