Roseville's English Language Learner strategy for high school students apparently places advanced learners at Roseville Area High School but mostly by age/grade and beginning learners or students older than their age grouping at Fairview AHS. Also, at Fairview apparently does not introduce students to academic subject classes right away, as many other ELL programs do. Even students who have had one or two years of ELL but are still weak in ELL assessment may spend some or all of the year in only ELL classes at Fariview. If you are helping Roseville high-school age ELL beginners, asks lots of questions and consider alternatives.
