Continued from before. My writing skills are barely acceptable. Arriving to my first professor meeting for a literature class, I learned I had no concept of how to write a paper for college. The administration is absolutely clueless as to what a modern high school student needs. They are impossible to work with, refuse to compromise or consider new ideas and regularly make decisions that destroy any chances a student has at attending any college more competitive than a state school. The teachers seem apathetic a best, often refusing to help students outside of as well as during class. The only aspect of my high school experience that prepared me for post-secondary schooling was the PSEO option, which I was discouraged from pursuing because it would ruin my high school experience. Without taking PSEO classes I would have failed all of my first semester college classes and would be facing 5+ years to complete a bachelor s degree.

I attended MCW and I received a great education. The science department is outstanding. The teachers and administration seem like they care and the community really gets behind the school.
