Brought to the attention of principal Mo Chang and expressed concern over an incident of a 12 year old swearing and bullying my 6 year old son. After the her investigation - I kid you not - her response was that my 6 year old boy was as much at fault as the 12 year old! There is no situation, none whatsoever that calls for 12 year old middle schooler telling a 6 year old to stfu. With a principal with that kind of mentality and lack of common sense no wonder the school is being investigated for fraud. I don't know about you but I will not let my kids attend this school as long as the current administration is in place. Pulling my kids out ASAP.

I honostly love the school! The school helped my family, and i was recieving a great learning experince! There has been some news about our school, but some of it isn't even true! I mean, seriously, why would the school just take kids to Thailand and Laos just for vacation. The trip is for a Global Connections trip. And the staffs are great!! I love the field trips and programs here at this school. The Student Council and Asian Penguin are great clubs for me to join. I really felt that I was a part of the school, like the school was an older brother to me. And even if I do not do great on a certain subject, my teachers never leave me behind.

School will close in 2016 because they have lost their authorizer over mismanagement. Teachers work so hard and the admin treats them terribly. Nothing has changed.

"One thing I like about CSE is the global connections events where the school provides students the opportunity to travel abroad to Thailand and Laos because my 8th grade daughter was able to travel and learn about her history and culture. When my daughter came back from her trip, she gained knowledge about her own heritage and had a better understanding about the Hmong way of life back then." Mrs. Pa Lee, CSE parent

I have two kids that attends CSE this year, 1st grade & Kindergarten. Last year, I really liked because my son's teacher challenged him and he learned a lot. Even though it's the beginning of the year I felt the teachers aren't good. They didn't use my children's school supplies and I feel they are not challenging my children. I may be looking elsewhere for next year. Although I love the pick & drop off at my house.

This school is very disorganized. We had to resubmit documents multiple times and it took several weeks to receive transportation for my child. I'm not sure what is happening at this school but I am not having my youngest attend here. My oldest will go ahead and finish out her last year (she only attended 7th grade here). Look elsewhere.

Glad to see I am not the only disappointed one. Low expectations, lack of leadership, lack of diversity. My kids were never challenged. I wouldn't recommend this school at all.

I go to this school and i personaly really like it, the only thing that i dislike is that the EDUCATION is not as good as i thought it would be. Im just a 7th Grader, but I feel like the teachers dont motivate us as much. Honestly i wish they did a little more discipline . I mean i think they can do A LOT BETTER . And what i mean is for how some are teaching. I dont feel into the teaching, but i understand after she/he explains a second time. At my other schools i always wanted to be the smarter one and help the ones who didnt get it, but now im one of the ones who doesnt understand . I'd say kids need a lot more motavation from teachers and parents. They need to see the bigger picture. But I still give the school two thumbs up for the after school activities and other things .

As a parent, I visit the school and it was terrible. The administration was very disorganize and it seem that the principal don t know what she was doing. Starting from the top of the administration to its staff, they all weren t as professional as I thought they would be. When I visit the school for my child, the principal and some of its staff was in their sweatpants and sleeping wear. Also, when my sister, who has a child that goes there, ask if she can look into his file, it seems that records of all the student has nothing or only some of the paper on the students. The file of the students weren t as complete like other public school, where they can pull information of a child and get his educational history. Furthermore, I think this school is very disorganize and unsupportive for any students that goes there.

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
