SLPHS was horrible for me! I had a pretty good social life there and everything.. but I failed... every, single, class! The teachers were just rude if you asked something.. And the students are so fake.. Drama sucks you in there for sure!

I went to Park schools from 5th to 9th grade and my grades where at their worst and i had the least amount of friends than any other school I have been to. the kids are mean and stuck up. even people who are your 'friends' talk bad about you. and the teachers care nothing about, the students(some do). i needed i IEP, and they never helped me get one or even helped find another way to keep my grades up. The school i go to now gave me an IEP right away and i have a 4.0 GPA and i am in all honors and AP classes. SLP is not a good school. its hard, and not in the good way.

Great Teachers! After being in college for a couple years, I have nothing but respect for my high school teachers. They made sure my education was a solid foundation for my future.

its a great place to learns and is basically ahead of the game. i have taken my kids to all kids of schools. from charter, public, and even online homeschooling. but when St. Louis Park High School, not only did they do better in school, they were soooo much happier. I'm the kind of parent that wants the best for her children and will not stop until she finds the absolute best school for them. And I have found it. St.Lous Park Senior High School. Also, please don't put your kids in an online school, I've seen it and my children were completely miserable. If you want the absolute best for you child, with a extremely safe environment, take them to SLPHS.

I think SLPHS is the best thing thats happened to my kids. I have tried everything. I've taken them to other public schools, private schools, charter and even K12/MNVA online homeschools. But nothing has come close to SLPHS. Its amazing how you can take AP classes in the school and get college credit for it. Their grades are excellent and they actually like to do work now. I love seeing them so happy. If you are a parent that wants nothing but the best for your children and will do anything for them to get a great education, in an extremely safe, non-violent environment, take them to SLPHS. Also, I found that online school is the worst thing for kids. If you think that keeping them in the house and from the outside world is going to help them, its not. Homeschool/online school doesnt work. Trust me, I know.

This school is actually ahead of the game in discussing changes that make the learning experience for all students a more positive one. Still, recent test score will attest to how students of color have been excluded from the school's model of academic excellence. The new principal seems willing to discuss ways to address this issue, but as a parent, during my two-year interaction I have only been able to indentify a couple of teachers who are able to engage students who are not walking through their doors with a zest for learning. Without engagement, which is more challenging with many students during adolescent and young adult years, a student will not fair well, even with lots of family support. Yet positive change appears to be on the horizon, but too little and -- for many students and families, particularly those of color at SLPHS -- too late.

We give SLPHS an A+. I am a single-parent,low income and left Minneapolis because the standards were academically/behaviorally abysmal. SLPSH teachers were hard on my daughter like all the other kids. SLPSH gives equal opportunity to all kids who want to learn and parents who value a free, top-notch education.

St. Louis Park Senior High is a great place to learn and succeed. It has high quality academics, rated at 305th of all public schools in the nation, one of only 3 out of Minnesota. It aslo has strong athletics and extracurriculars. As St. Louis Park Public Schools say and do, 'Achieving success, one student at a time.'
