I have 3 children that attend this school and I am impressed with the high standards that are expected of all of the students both personally and academically. Certain behaviors are simply not accepted here. The academic standards seem to be higher here than at the public school counterparts (for exmaple, 91% of graduating 6th graders tested into Advanced Math in 7th grade) and extra attention is available for all students. The principal is exceptional and the teachers are not only willing to have an open dialogue with the parents but expect it. Parents are extremely involved in the school and all involved (administration, teachers, staff, parents) take the idea that "it takes a community" to educate and raise a child very seriously. Compared to other private schools in the Twin Cities, I think tuition is very reasonable. If you are considering catholic or private school education, I strongly recommend that you set up an appointment to tour the school and meet the principal at this school.
