Metro Deaf School has high expectations for learning, but also provides several opportunities for students to develop skills to be citizens in the Deaf and Hearing community.
MDS is a bilingual school that provides instruction in ASL and teaches English as a second language. Students have direct access to staff, teachers, and peers through ASL.
I love this school because it opened a world of communication and friends to my son who is DHH and has Down Syndrome as well. Most importantly, HE loves this school.
Ilove our school because the teachers are so great, caring, and concerned about the students.
Great School for Deaf children to socialize and live actively and normally in an enviroment suited more to thier needs!
