I am currently a 6 grader at this school and I love it here. The teachers here are very nice and creative, which motivates us students to learn. This school has a Science Fair and this year, 6 students in 6 grade was chosen to go to the Science Fair Regionals at the U of M. You get to learn many new things in technology and have fun doing projects on computer programs. This school having pre-k to 6 grade helps students have a strong friendship to each other because of the 6 years of being at the school. This school is wonderful and I am proud that my parents chose this school as my Elementary School.

We LOVE Nokomis and feel so fortunate to a) have found this school and b) to have received a spot for both of our kids as they waiting list is a long one to get in. The principal is the best one we have ever met, she talked at length about our needs and desires for our kids before we even applied even though it was a long shot that we would get in. She takes pride in her school and in her teacher, as well she should. She is a strong leader, which we have found to be one of the most important qualities in selecting a school. The kids learn at their own pace and advanced when ready, and get extra help when they need it. Our kindergartner came in not totally knowing all of the letter sounds yet, and by the end of the year is reading at a mid 1st grade level. She is not an expection, this is the norm in her classroom. We are trhrilled with the IEP services that our son has recieved as well, they identified additional areas of service that would help him and implimented the plan immediately, he is now excelling as well.
