There have been a lot of positive changes for students, parents and teachers at this school in the past year. Teachers are fully supported within the classroom and given the opportunity to improve their craft. As a parent I feel this has improved the school atmosphere.

Two parent teacher conferences during the year are very well attended. Check out the new PTO with cultural events, carnivals, and more. Teachers are encouraged to send home weekly newsletters and call home often. Parents can request home visits by their teachers and the school has an open door policy allowing parents to schedule a time to come visit a class. Parent communication is very important here. As a former 6th grade teacher, this really impressed me as positive and special. The school is a community. HCPA rocks.
