We have three children who attend CCLA and all of them love their teachers and are eager to get back to school after the weekend! Learning is looked at as an adventure, and the teachers go out of their way to make each subject matter interesting. We think it's great that our kids have music and art classes as those are being eliminated in so many schools. Keep it up CCLA!

Children are bullied. I witnessed an altercation between 2 students and there were 2 "teachers" standing right there and none of them did ANYTHING. Some of the "teachers" talk down to the students. NOT a friendly learning environment.

School atmosphere is great and not to mention before and after care. I however, do not like the abundance of half day school hours. There seems to be so many half days that I start to wonder if this will affect the academic of our children attending this school.

I have been to several CCLA community events and have, on every occasion been floored by the level of care the staff gives to their children. It is plain that these people absolutely love these kids and go so far beyond the call of duty that it is hard to put to words.

I love, love ,love CCLA, My children went to three different school before I found CCLA and I'm so happy I did. I like all the other schools but CCLA was the only school that I felt 100% comfortable with. I love that it goes up to 8th grade, the before and after school program has been a life saver. The teacher are so friendly and caring, I feel like they really know my children and they make it easy for parents to be involve. Love you miss D and all CCLA staff.

CCLA, like all schools has areas for improvement. My child gets as good, if not a better education as any of the other public schools situated within St. Paul's city limits. The BIG difference between CCLA and other public schools is the attention that each child is given. No one is missed, as far as I can tell. All of the staff seem to know all of the children and I can call my child's teacher or principal at any time with questions. They even provide their cell phone numbers so we can reach them after school hours. We love CCLA. Our child is being educated with quality teachers and being loved by an additional 40 staff members everyday.

I walk into our school building everyday I can't believe what a wonderful learning environment has been created for our students. At CCLA every staff member knows every student, children do not go through a day without being greeted and recognized by the adults around them. We push students to work hard and be to 'life long learners.' I am proud to be a part of such an excellent school!

I am sooo relieved to find a school my child is not bored with.My son has been tested as gifted and has been so bored in his previous 2 schools that we searched for another and found CCLA. I am happy to inform that he is no longer bored and is being challenged everyday, he is so excited to be attending CCLA and as parents, we are glad we finally found THE school!

Our child has been attending the CCLA for 2 years and we have been very happy with the school. We feel the highlights of the school are the low student to teacher ratio, the caring teachers and staff members and the overall family involvement with the school. What we find special about CCLA is that every student is encouraged to be themselves rather than conform to the majority. CCLA is a school where a child who may not neccessarily fit in or succeed in a 'typical' school setting can come in and the teachers and staff focus on what each individual child needs in order to build the self confidence to succeed.

When we arrived in Saint Paul last year, from Venezuela, we were a little bit concerned about the education of our daughter, Claudia, who was four years old at that time and did not speak English very well. After visiting several schools, we decided that CCLA was the right place for her, and we were right. Claudia did very well in preschool and is now doing very well in kindergarten. We will keep her in CCLA for as long as we live in Saint Paul. The family values that are taught in CCLA are one of its many assets, and that is a very important issue to us. The people at CCLA are all very friendly and good at work, and the community gets easily involved with the school. The Principal of CCLA, Ms. Mary Donaldson, is a true leader and is on top of everything that happens in the school.

I toured and researched several schools and I found Concordia Creative Learning Academy to be the best school for my family. My child has done remarkably well. Each staff member takes the time to show each child how wonderful, unique, and special they are.

I have two sons that attend this school they both enjoy going to school. This is the only school they have ever gone to. They read and do their math really well. I really enjoy the teachers. They seem to keep a parent posted on any changes good or bad. The teachers seem to care. I am so happy that my sons were able to spend their most critical learning years at this school. Two of my nieces also attended this school.

I have two daughters there, 1 started in Kdgtn the other in the preschool. I am very pleased with the academic progress that both girls exhibit and the levels at which they are working. They are in 5th and 3rd grade now. They seem to really enjoy school.

About the tests


In 2011-2012 Minnesota used the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment-III (MCA-III) to test in math in grades 3 through 8, and in science for grades 5 and 8, and once in high school. The MCA-III is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Minnesota. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

The different student groups are identified by the Minnesota Department of Education. If there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, data is not reported for that group.
