St. Croix Preparatory Academy Middle School

Very disappointed in the leadership of SCPA. The middle school prinicpal and the administration are making sure the kids and parents with IEPs/504s feel extreme pressure to leave before they get to high school. That way it won't pull down their test scores. Since they are a PUBLIC school they are not allowed to do this but continue to do so. Most of the teachers are very good but walk on eggshells around administration for fear of being fired. (which has already happened more than once). This used to be an amazing school.

If your child requires an IEP SCPA is not the right fit! SCPA is partially funded by the public however they act as if they are a private school. Weeding out the less than highly gifted academic students. Test scores are what matter to this school. SCPA didn't start out this way but WOW since they have been in the new building. PRIDE FILLED is all I can say!

We need to go back to the old building, back when we cared about ALL the children and not just the parents who complain the most. This school used to be about values and teaching leadership. But with the lack of quality leadership at the top, what can you expect. And a last parting shot, packets of homework for a "gifted student" is not meeting his needs, it just extra work.
