Despite the issues being raised at this time centered on closing and funding, the school was rated 'Star School' by the state. What makes Nichols Elementary number one: The staff and principal are always positive, friendly, and professional; the teachers are innovative and strive to make a difference; there is a high focus on what is best for the students while including quality education; strong core values and open communication between principal, parent and teacher are encouraged. In addition, the children love their school, principal, teachers and most of all...learning.
