Hi!, I'm Amanda, A student that went to Popp's Ferry since kindergarten, They don't serve 6th grade anymore, They go to Biloxi Junior High school, but anyway, I love love love LOVED this school! The teachers cared for their students and I learned ALOT! And you almost ALWAYS find 2-5 people who like what you like!
Both of my children got a very fine education there!
Popp's Ferry has a great faculty, staff, students and community support!!!
The staff is on top of keeping the kids motivated at the same time feeling safe..................
The administration is very tuned in to the staff and students.
The faculty is awesome and they handle & teach the children the way a school should..Very refreshing!!
Some of the greatest, brightest, kids go there, with a loving staff and dedicated parents. (and visa-versa)
Popps Ferry is a school on the move. It's an older school (1962) but the approach to teaching is fresh. The principal is awesome leader. Our PTO is small but strong.
It is a very good school and they have a wonderful corriculum. Wonderful teachers they go out of their way to help the children with their learning.
My son has attended Popp's Ferry Elementary from Kindergarten through 5th grade. This will be his final year as they no longer have grade 6. We have had several administrative changes, which I think made it hard on the kids at times, especially as the initial administration were so beloved to kids and parents alike, however, we do have a very good, well-organized admin. staff now. Overall, I think he has been blessed with wonderful teachers. All of them, including those he has for 'specials,' are gifted in their own way. There are a few who made such an impression he will remember them always. I think (though he doesn't realize it now) it will be very sad for him to say goodbye to Popp's Ferry at the end of this school year. I would recommend this school without hesitation to other parents.h
