This school is definitely one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Not only are you around a loving student body, but the faculty and staff here are beyond amazing. There is a ton of one on one action and the Executive Director does whatever she can to help positively contribute to your path to success. There are 5 different arts to choose from so there is one for everyone. Every teacher has a Master's degree or above. You will never find that in your regular High School. A previous class accumulated millions of dollars in scholarships and there were only about 60 of them. We go to college fairs all the time and we also have Presidents from area colleges come to us. Every year, our Director manages to bring a celebrity in to speak to us which is a wonderful networking opportunity. I don't understand how there is room for a bad review, unless of course, you can't handle the real world. Attending this school is not only an opportunity, but a privilege. I would recommend it to anybody. Besides, an Art School looks beautiful on your resume!

This school has good intentions that don't follow in practice. The staff and faculty pick favorites and do anything within their power to hunt those students they don't like down and incriminate them for anything. Many staff member are rude and unfriendly. The academics are pitiful. A lot of students leave the school because they cannot take it anymore. There are many unnecessary, strict rules that get worse and worse every year. If you value your education, do not come to this school. It ruined mine! The only good thing about MSA are the fellow kids, but you can find cool people everywhere.

MSA changed my life completely. It's an amazing school, and I don't know where I'd be without it.

I'm a student here at MSA and the school is definitely challenging to some, and to others it may be easier. MSA is one of the best arts high schools in the south other than NOCCA. This school prepares students for a college enviornment, and confronts them with real life decision making skills. As a class of 2010, I must say as I visit friends from my previous school; some of them continue their immature ways, but MSA has a the biggest affect on students. It not only prepares us for a life in the arts, but the real life experiences, performances, and staff equip us with a mind of steel.

I previously attended this school. As an arts school, it was very good, however the academics are not up to par with even the lowest of high schools in the state. I made some of the greatest friends in the world there. I came from a very bad public high school, but even there the academics were more challenging than at MSA. I wouldn't suggest this school to anyone interested in going to a major university with a selective admissions process.

Awesome - the most talented kids in the US!!! I have never seen teenagres this focused and multi-talented. They are already stars. Some of them come from very poor backgrounds and I have to ask myself - 'How did you get here? How did you get this much talent that is at a professional level when you have never been out of a small poor community? Truly amazing - they deserve support - they've earned it!!!!

I'm a student at the school, and I love it. It was a very difficult decision for me to make. Should I really leave my family and friends at the age of 16 to go live in a dorm? It's more than that. You get the college experience, although the staff keep a strict eye on you. I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to further my education in my arts discipline in a way that would not have been possible at my previous school.

My son graduated from MSA in 2008. The school is excellent and gives students an opportunity to be independent thinkers in their studies and their art form. I expect great things from the students that have attended MSA. The administrators, teachers and support personnel, especially the hostess families are wonderful.
