I am a 2002 graduate of F.C.A.H.S. This school is by far the best school around. I am proud to be an Aggie. I am very upset that I moved away and my children can not attend this school. They have many extra curricular activities as well as education based clubs. I was a member to a few. The teachers there not only have a teacher-student relationship, but a friend to friend relationship. They genuinely care about you as a student. This school does not go through teachers a lot, some of the teachers I had, also taught my older siblings, and one even thought my dad. That goes to show you they care about there job. I absolutely loved this school, and even though I graduated I miss it dearly. I would highly recommend this school to anyone considering it.
My child has been attending FCAHS for 2 years. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the education he is receiving. Teachers go out of their way to help students both academically and let you know that they care about your child. The new principal at FCAHS has made lots of changes for the good. Forrest County AGricultural High School is now a Level 5 superior school. We are very glad to have purchased a home in the Dixie area and look forward to all of our children graduating as Aggies.
I am a 2003 graduate of FC, as well as a member of the band and choir. The teachers at FC uniquely care about their students and go out of their way to help a student who is having trouble. As for the music programs, the tradition of excellence in the band began in the fall of 1999 when the marching band received superiors for the first time in 21 years, followed the next year by all superiors. The program lagged the following two years at the loss of the band director, but there is another there now who strives for the same excellence that the band has prided itself on in years past. Many of the music programs are young, but they are growing and have great promise. Also, FC is known for its support of athletics, though the primary focus, of course, is football.
Over the last two years the art and music programs have grown extensively. The band received Superior ratings in concert season and excellent during marching season. I will agree that this is a new trend, however, much has changed since 1991.
I am a 2001 graduate of FCAHS. The academic programs were very sucessful and designed with the student in mind, however art and music programs leave room for improvement.
I am a former student of A.H.S. Not only did I receive a wonderful education, but I also learned valuable lessons about life. The faculty there does not stop teaching when class ends. I will never forget my years there. A.H.S. will always be a special place to me.
