Currently Jefferson county Middle School has be separated into two schools respectively, and Upper Elementary and Junior High. Since the date of the last comment in Nov. 2005 this school has gone through a drastic change. They are both led by professional and caring principals who take parents concerns seriously. Many decisions are based on the children's needs and for the betterment. I have no doubt that the district and schools will succeed and improving overall test scores of students. Sometimes caring is half the battle. My sons enjoy attending school there and I appreciate the principals, staff and faculty for all they do. I feel that a few more extracurricular activities could be initiated and there is a PTA that started this school year that serves the Upper Elementary and Junior High.

The Middle School in Jefferson County is out of control. There is no positive leadership, no fairness, consistenty. It need to be restructed. All of the responsibilities lay solely on the teachers and that just isn't right.
