Lizana Elementary School

I have had some very bad experiences with this school. There is alot of turnover with the staff teachers. My daughter has been going to this school since Kindergarten. In that amount of years, we have only come across very few teachers that actually care. My daughter has a learning disability and they have done nothing to accommodate her. She has not excelled mainly because I feel that her teachers did not care. All she was to them was a number and they just wanted her out of their hair. No stopping to help her understand a certain subject, just move on. The ratio is poor, about 1:25 students which I feel is horrible. Maybe if the teachers concentrated more on the students than they did on their little cliques, it would be a nicer school. My recommendation, ask the superintendent for a transfer. I am glad we are moving!

Lizana is the best school ever!!! i went to lizana as a child, and now my children attend this school. They have excellent teachers and staff, they work one on one with the children, i would drive an hour to take them to school everyday just to make sure this is the school they go to it really is a great school!!!

This is the best elementary school in the world! I attended in 1982 and not much has changed. There are basically the same teachers. I'm glad my children attend school there now.I just wish it went through 12th grade! K.Williams

If you have a child attending Lizana Elementary, you are blessed! This is by far, the best elementary school on the coast! I had transferred my 3rd grade son, out of his district, to this school because of constant problems with the other schools administrator. Wow, is all I can say! The difference in teachers and all school employees, (definitely including the administrator,) has been a wonderful breath of fresh air. I must transport my child to and from school each day, but it is so worth it. I feel he is receiving a far better quality education, and is treated with care and respect. My child and I both have the highest regard to all associated with Lizana Elementary. We are fortunate! I can't say enough good. All school administrators could really learn from this amazing school.It was the best move I could've made.
