This is a wonderful school district! The teachers and staff work so well together to make an excellent learning environment for the students. The students' test scores reflect how hard the teachers focus on making this school one of the best in the state. At the upper elementary, there are many clubs for students to become involved in: drama, roots and shoots (environmnent), believer's club (christian based), newspaper staff, and I am sure there are others that I can't think of! I highly recommend this school!

I moved to the Oak Grove School District in 1998 and from Southern California and was very sceptical about the area schools. I did a lot of interrogating of parents in my neighborhood during the summer leading up to our fist school year here.Once I got over the large number of students that attend these schools and focused on my own child's classroom I could see that the teachers have a great support/peer group involved in making the best school for my children to learn and grow in. There is a great music program starting in the 6th grade (Oak Grove Schools are known for their outstanding band). There is also music and art offered to the children starting in kindergarten. There are several ways for parents to jump in and get involved too. I have had 4 of my children in every grade here(K-12th) and look forward to my youngest to join them in the years to come.
