this school is not doing what they are suppose to nobody cares what happens there or if the kids are safe
I think that when people say that IMS isn't doing its job, they need to know 'the rest of the story.' Have you taken into account how many days the student who ' needs extra help' has been absent and/or tardy? Are you aware that every student at IMS is in a system whereby they are monitored and given remediation immediately? When do the students and their parents become responsible? We, as educators, are being forced to re-give every thing. Do we really want a new generation that simply cannot think for itself? At some point we all have to understand that education takes place at home. Schools are available to facilitate further learning. Therre is a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson that sums up the entire scenario: 'Education is not the filling of a pail but a lighting of a fire.' Please look at the whold picture before laying blame
Iuka Middle school is not a great shcool for children that need that little extra help, the number of student that make low grade's prove it.
Iuka Middle is an awesome school with great leadership and teachers who get the best out of the kids. They are making improvments on the buildings and things are looking good. The coaches there are excellent and they take interest in the kids. Great school!
