Excellent school my kids love going to school every morning. We moved to Mississippi from new York and my older daughter who was in 5th grade adapted very easily, my 3 year old started this year and she loves going to school since the first day. This is a friendly environment. I like the fact that most teachers have their kids in this school as well.

st. Richard is an excellent school. It meets all the standards for a very high educated school. I loved the school because everyone was nice. The teachers were the best because they made sure you under stood everything they taught in there particular class. The staff made sure they knew almost every kid in the school. They also make sure that you learn math, reading, science, social studies and more and they make sure you learn about the lord.

St. Richard is awesome. The teachers and the administrators have a genuine love for educating children, and it shines through in their interactions every day.

St. Richard Catholic School has the most diverse curriculum in the city. The school is a 'whole Schools Initiative' meaning that we use all aspects of the arts to teach the regular academics. In addition it has the very latest reading program which is researched based and a lab based science program. The school makes total use of technology in teaching and learning from lap top word processors in the 3rd grade to Smart Boards in classrooms. The final aspect of the school is its faith-based religion program, which involves not only text book spirituality but service and individual spirituality. St. R is the only Catholic school in the diocese to provide a full Special education program in addition to gifted education, Spanish and six years of piano and music theory.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
