I attended this school four years ago and can honestly say it is one of the best in the state. Every teacher wanted to help with problems and the students who fell behind were the ones who did not care and did not want to put the effort in to do well. The only people who seem to complain about MC are the ones who spit out the terms "racism" and "cliques". Madison has a majority of white people so obviously that's how this school is categorized and Madison is also a very nice town with families who work hard to be able to afford to live there so "cliques" are going to happen. It's a fact when there is money involved. It's about education and if you want to actually earn one, Madison county schools are the way to go.

Out of the 3 high schools I have recently attended, me being moved around so much, madison central is by far the worst of them all with all there little cliques and these unprofessional teachers. It honestly makes me sick going there and I try to find good things about the place but there are few and far between moments.

I have been to 4 different schools in different areas throughout middle school and my 2 years of highschool. Madison Central is thebest school I have been to. I recently moved to a different state. We soon moved back because the schools in our new state were no where near Madison's quality. The students all get along. Everyone has a place. There are so many clubs and extracurricular activities. Students are very supportive of the school teams. Parents are very involved. Teachers always care for their students. There is no other school i'd rather go to.

Excellent school. I don't understand why parents in Madison would fork out money to send there kids to private schools!

Madison Central gave me a great college prep and strong academic background. In my four years at the school, the teachers and administration showed concern for every one of their students. This year I will be a senior in college and also a student in the University Honors Program. I believe that the wonderful education I received at Madison Central has definately helped me achieve this goal. I transferred to Madison Central in 9th grade after attending a local private school for eight years. I have to say that even though MC is much larger I felt as if I received more personal attention from the teachers there. The amount of discipline and behavioral expectations was also much greater at MC. Now that I am attending college, I have realized that I came much more prepared than some of my current classmates. I have Madison Central to thank for that!

I'm completely dumbfounded by some of the negative reviews below. Madison Central is by far the best school I have ever been involved with. Yes, the school is large...However, I think that its size is one of its strengths. Every single student has the opportunity to find where they fit in. They don't have to be a football player or a cheerleader to feel as if they have a place. There are so many opportunities available to students. The teachers are absolutely wonderful. Many faculty members formerly taught at private schools and now teach at MC. Year after year, MC has just as many if not more National Merit semi-finalists and finalists than other schools in the state--public or private. The AP program is wonderful, extracurricular activities are numerous, and the arts are a big part of the school. I wouldn't want to send my children anywhere else.
